The Samsung Omnia II was demoed as a Wii-Like game controller at CES last week. Through the Wi-Fi connection, the Omnia II can then be connected to Samsung HDTV. These game applications will come bundled with the Samsung TVs.

Windows Marketplace, the hugely anticipated application store by Windows that was set to launch on October 6th on Windows Mobile 6.5 has been successfully ported to Windows Mobile 6.1. Samsung seems to be looking to up the antes in launching its own version of the application store, housing both Symbian and Windows Mobile applications submitted by 3rd-party developers. Information such as real-time sales and revenue statistics will be made available to the developers.
