Tip: Galaxy S III Menu Button Long Press for Search and Browser History/Bookmarks

Posted on Sep 21 2012 - 3:48pm by Brian

I always felt that Samsung’s original 3 button layout (first seen on the Galaxy S) has been the best for Android devices.

The 3 button layout seen on the international Galaxy S and S II have now become the standard control layout for every Galaxy S III variant. If you are an American consumer, you may be used to the more typical 4x capacitive button layout seen on the U.S. versions of Samsung’s popular phones. You might be wondering, how do I access the search function now that the button is gone? The answer is quite simple, all you gotta do is long press the menu button!

Long pressing the menu button can also be used to bring up your browser history and bookmarks when using the Galaxy S III’s default browser. For more helpful tips, check out our Galaxy S III Tip Collection.

    Oh my goodness! Amazing article dude! Thanks, However I
    am experiencing issues with your RSS. I don’t know why I can’t
    subscribe to it. Is there anyone else getting similar RSS issues?
    Anyone who knows the solution can you kindly respond?

    Right now it appears like Expression Engine is the top blogging platform
    available right now. (from what I’ve read) Is that what you’re
    using on your blog?
