Love the look of the Galaxy S line of phones, but did not need its phone capabilities? Want all of the great software features of the Android OS on your PMP rather than having to stick with Apple’s iPod and iOS? Well do we have some good news for you…

The Galaxy WiFi 3.6 is the smallest member of the Galaxy S family, housing a 3.6-inch, 480 x 800 resolution on its LCD screen. This is the same resolution as the Galaxy S II’s 4.2 and 4.5-inch screens, which will mean that these¬†miniature¬†devices will boast 259 PPI, quite a bit higher than the 4.5-inch Galaxy S II’s 207 PPI. The display will be powered by a 1GHz Hummingbird processor, so we can expect to see similar performance to the original Galaxy S smartphone but of course the GSW will ship running Android 2.3 and TouchWiz. If you are wondering if this device will see Android 4.0, we highly doubt it Samsung has essentially made it clear that none of the single-core devices will be seeing the update except the AOSP Nexus S.

The device comes in either 8GB or 16GB flavors and features a microSD card slot for memory expansion. Although the GSW does sport a front and rear camera with LED flash, they are both rated at a paltry 2MP–not bad but it certainly pales in comparison to its 8MP older brothers. But then again, its full fledged sibings cost more than triple this little guy. That’s right, we are expecting this little fella to go for aroun $150-$170 dollars, based on the 4.0 inch versions $200 asking price.
