New Galaxy S2 device, codenamed Seine, teased for an MWC announcement

MWC is right around the corner and all the fun is kicking off early as usual.  Samsung has just sent out media invites (seen below) to select media outlets inviting them to a press event the night before MWC 2011 starts.  The announcement is regarding the Galaxy S2 which we’ve speculated on before.

We also discovered on a Korean news site that the internal codename for the device is Seine, named after a river in France.  The site also expects the device to have the following specs:

  • Dual Core Orion processor
  • Android 2.3 Gingerbread
  • 4.3″ Screen
  • 800×480 resolution
  • less than 9mm in thickness
  • 1GB RAM
  • 8MP rear camera
  • 1080P HD video recording
  • NFC
  • features relating to “Personal Cloud Computing”

Samsung has also set a goal of selling 10 million units of this device in the 2011 year.  With phrases like “Something big is coming” and “Evolution is Fate” we would expect no less than the specs listed above.  Would these features change your mind (if you currently own a Galaxy S) to buy the new one despite the current update problems?
