Verizon Release Software Update for Samsung Omnia SCH-I910
Samsung Omnia has come a long way and is still one of the favorite Windows Mobile touchscreen device out there. Verizon has recently released a software update for the device.

Here is a list of things updated on this release:
- Qualcomm Patch (M6801BSMBRLAZ56205) is updated. Improving overall call quality.
- Multiple Updates/Fixes applied to the Opera browser.
- Update to XT9 is applied to correct Add word issues seen by users.
- Algorithm codec has been corrected to allocate correct amount of memory when attaching a Full resolution image file to a MMS message. This will fix “Image resize Fail” seen by some users.
It’s interesting to see this update come in for a device that has been launched for over a year now. The more notable fix is probably call quality and MMS feature.
If you are using the Verizon Samsung Omnia (SCH-i910), be sure to head over to Samsung’s software upgrade page to get your update!

For Vista users, it seems like this update can only be done on 32-bit systems (like the previous update). Another update that I will not be able to install…
no 6.5…
I contacted Samsung’s support about the Vista 64-bits, and here is their answer:
“The software updates CF03 and DC22 are not compatible with any 64 bit OS. Samsung is currently developing a software update tool that will work on 64 bit OS. Until that tool is available you must use a 32 bit OS to perform the update.”
@Paul,
Thank you. They rarely prepare software updates for 64-bits.
i have a 64-bit and i have to take my phone to verizon store to get the new software
