Task Launcher make use of that little space between the Start button on the left and whatever else utility icons you have on the right as a launcher pad for some of the common Setttings and Applications.
Currently, there are 8 components on the launcher pad by default: File Explorer, Wi-Fi, Task Manager, Internet Explorer (yes, it’s set as default), Calendar, Bluetooth, Memory usage and Screen rotation.
You can customize the items on the launching pad, check out the developer’s thread on XDA for more information.
