Still deciding between that Windows Mobile and Android phone? Now with the release of Gen.Y DualBOOT, you can easier boot from either of the mobile platform.

It’s an exciting option for Windows Mobile users eager to try out Android on their device. And thanks to XDA, the process is simplified to bare minimum (only 3 steps!) Check out the instruction and video demo below (courtesy of pocketnow.com).

Note: This may/may not yet work perfectly on the Samsung Omnia(s).

Getting Started

The entire process can be condensed down to just 3 steps: getting the Android ROM, the Gen.Y DualBOOT and rebooting your device.

  1. Get an Android ROM onto your device (via Storage Card)
  2. Download the Gen.Y DualBoot and install it to the main memory
  3. Reboot the device – now you should be presented with the screen as shown below. From there, you can choose the OS you’d like to boot. If that doesn’t happen, you can still go to the Program list to launch Gen.Y
