The folks over at XDA are playing around with Windows Mobile 6.5 build 28002, which they are calling Windows Mobile 6.5.3. On this latest leaked version, the most significant change lies in the default on-screen keyboard, known as the soft-input panel (SIP) to some.

From the above image, you can see that more spaces are added between keys and the sizes for the keys themselves have also increased. By eliminating unnecessary keys on that limited space, the keyboard is optimized and focused on the keys frequently used by users.

While most manufacturers have made their mark on creating their own native SIPs, this change does indicate a move towards better usability in future releases.
