We have known the Samsung Omnia II (WM6.5) will be coming to Bell, Canadian Carrier, exclusively on November 4th. What we didn’t know is that the Omnia II has just became the “Official Mobile Device of the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games.”

In addition to that great news, those who have purchased the Bell Omnia II will also be able to get a free Samsung app called “Wireless Olympic Works” (WOW). WOW provides real-time information of the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games straight to your Omnia II. The information available will include medal standing, schedules and real-time statistic such as goals from ice hockey games.

At the launch of the Samsung Olympic games campaign Tuesday in Vancouver, Paul Brannen, G.M. Wireless Terminals Division, Samsung Electronics Canada, explains the evolution of the Wireless Olympic Works system.
