Favorite People Plug-in for Windows Mobile 6.5

With  more people make the switch to Windows Mobile 6.5, more function needs are being requested. For many users who doesn’t use 3rd party photo dialers, speed dial is the only way to make calls to your favorite contacts. AppStar from XDA came up with the Favorite People Plug-in, a convenient tool to add and access your favorite contacts.

Usage for Favorite People Plug-in

To get started, you will need .NET Compact Frame 2.0 (for most devices, this is already installed) and then download the cab file provided (below).

Here are some ways that you can use the Favorite People plug-in

1. Tap the “Select Favorite People” panel to add a contact and a phone number of your choice.
2. Tap the contact panel to view the contact card.
3. Tap the “Call” softkey to initiate a phone call to the stored number.

The plugin is also fairly flexible: not only can you edit the Favroite People’s list, you can also edit actions and appearances of the panel. If you are using Windows Mobile 6.5 and is heavily relying on the CHome homescreen, this is a good plugin to have your favorite contacts listed.
