How To Increase Device’s Battery Life with Registry Edits

Battery life is an issue that, for many people determines the quality of a mobile device. Have a fancy gear with no battery to enjoy it can be quite a let down. While released hardwares may not be easily modified to improve its performance, there are some registry tweaks that you may try to increase your device’s battery life.

Samsung Pocket PCs and Smartphones

What you need


Registry editor (i.e. PHM Editor)

Registry Address


  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\ASyncMac1\Params
  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\L2TP1\Params
  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\PPTP1\Params

Value Name(s)


  • DisablePowerManagement

Value Data


  • Change from 1 to 0.

i just adjusted my power managment level to 0.
and i do see a bit of a change

Battery life decreases instead of increasing, so this does not work for me. Reverting to the old situation.
