Audio Route for Windows Mobile is a free application which helps you to switch the audio from the earpiece speaker to the backspeaker and vice versa. Although you can do this manually while in call or listening to music, this freeware allows you to change the settings quickly and easily.
Basically, once you have downloaded and installed AudioRoute, a button will appear right next to the Start button. When you click on it, you can choose between having the audio output through a earpiece (whenever applicable), the regular speaker on the phone or the speakerphone.
The fixed-position button can be annoying when it overlaps with the title of applications or documents when displayed on the top taskbar. It is nonetheless a good application to have if you are swapping between audio output constantly.
Features
Here are some of the application’s features:
- Routes the audio output to earpiece of backspeaker
- VoIP compatible
- Easy to use User Interface
- Command line support
- Uses Teksoft’s DynRIL library
