Samsung seems to be looking to up the antes in launching its own version of the application store, housing both Symbian and Windows Mobile applications submitted by 3rd-party developers. Information such as real-time sales and revenue statistics will be made available to the developers.

The Samsung Application Store will be a good companion to the Samsung Innovator which provides tools for both private and corporate developers to develop applications suited for the Samsung devices.

The possible launch date for the Application Store is set to be July 30, 2009 (tomorrow!)

Samsung says it’s been working with a beta version of the service since January in the U.K. and plans to open the application storefront to consumers in Europe later this year.
