Are you struggling with connecting to the internet via the Pocket Internet Explorer (Pocket IE)? There seems to be many users who are having trouble with the internet connection. Here is a simple tip to hopefully resolve the issue.

Tip to resolve Pocket IE Connection

What you will need to do is to disable the Proxy server by following these instructions:

  1. Start > Setting > ‘Connections’ tap > Connections
  2. Select ‘Set up my proxy server‘ under My Internet

    Proxy01
  3. Unchecked ‘The network users a proxy server to connect to the Internet‘ box.

    Proxy02

And you’re done! Try to connect again to see if you can connect to the internet with Pocket IE.

A user has reported that making this change might casue MMS sending problem. CareAce have since tested sending MMS with the Samsung Omnia (i900/AT&T) and have not experience any problem as prescribed. If you’re experiencing any sort of issue, please feel free to contact us.
