[Businessmen Must Know] #6: Useful Applications

Whew! We’ve made it. It’s day #6 and the final lesson of the Business User’s Guide. We’re pumped to have shared many information that are hopefully useful for you. For this last part we will cover applications that are useful to your Samsung Smartphones. These covers a range of different functions including:

   The  preloaded magnifier allows you to read text that is too small for your eyes’ comfort. How to use it? Press and hold the camera button when you read email.

   Microsoft provides its own data backup service through MyPhone. Now you don’t have to worry about losing important contacts or other information from your device
4. Restore lost data with DiskDigger
   Accidentally formatted a storage and cannot find the files? Use DiskDigger to dig up the driver and locate the lost file.
   
5. Mobile Search with Microsoft’s latest Bing
   Bing has been close to phenomenual since it was launched in June. Whatever it is that you need through your mobile browser. Bing and it would be found.
   
6. NRG Weather Forecast Panel for Smartphone’s Home Screen
   Having weather forecast plastered over your home screem is always beneficial in skipping the mundane steps to check out the upcoming weather forecast
7. Remember things with Microsoft Recite
   If you are more of a hearing person, how about having Microsoft Recite to read you reminders that you have previously recorded?
   
8. Take synchronizable notes with Evernote
   Evernote provides the ability to add notes with embedded web, video and many more. Taking note is never the same.
9. Translate using Unofficial Google Translator
   While not officially Google, it does provide a good avenue to translate any text that you may have.
   
10. Log your calls and messages with PhoneLog
    There are many reasons behind why you would want to log your calls and messages. If you have a reason then you have the need. Use PhoneLog to fulfill that need!
    
11. Set your incoming call preferences with Call Firewall
    In a meeting, out on vacation and doesn’t want to be disturbed? Yes Call Firewall to set call preferences and select whose call you’d like to receive.
12. Auto on speakerphone – useful when driving
    If you are driving, holding onto anything can be hazardous to you or anyone on the road. With this application, any incoming calls will be received with speakphone turned on, making it safer to drive and easier to talk on the phone.
13. Skype 3.0  goes mobile
    Skype is a popular instant messaging service that allows you to make calls as well. Now the mobile version let’s you send files and SMS as well.
