Adding pauses to your contact number
Aren’t you annoyed by call automated systems? Getting to a human requires you to enter various keys. What if you can skip all that?
With the Windows Mobile, you can setup a contact by adding pauses to the numbers. What it does is that after you have dialed, you can add pauses before the different numbers that will correspond to the touch-tone keys (i.e. 1 for English, 0 for operator, etc). Here is how you can set one up:
- From the Home screen, go to Start > Contacts
- Select the desired phone number
- Press the Menu soft key and select Edit.
- Use the Left or Right navigation key to place the cursor at the place where the pause needs to be added.
- Press the Menu soft key and select Insert Pause to add a two-second pause. The letter ‘p‘ will appear where the pause has been set.
- Use the keypad to enter any additional numbers if desired.
Tip: You can create pauses longer than two seconds by entering multiple pauses.

Sharing contacts on your device
Sometimes you need to send someone’s contact information to another person or device. The Samsung smartphone allows you to do that in 2 ways: sending it as a contact or sending it as a vCard. If you do decide to send through the ‘Send Contact’ option, you can either Beam it or Send it as a message:
- Beam: allows you to beam contact information to another device.
- Messages: allows you to send a text message.
If you decide to choose the option to send it as a vCard, simply choose that option from the menu as shown below:
