Bing mobile was not going to be wandering alone in the dark for long. It was only a matter of time when the new ‘Decision engine‘ gets hitched with a mobile carrier. And here we go, Verizon have decided to employ the new search engine by Microsoft on its future device as its default search engine, at least for the next 5 years.

In the future when you’re buying a Verizon WM smartphone, you will have Bing pre-loaded on your device’s portal page. So whenever you need to query something, just Bing it! And why not? According to Microsoft’s general manager for mobile media, Charles Johnson, in the first 20 days after Verizon launched the partnership with Bing, the mobile search engine handled around 19 million queries – 10 to 15 times the previous rate. Just ask away!

For everyone else, Bing mobile is still free to use, simply point your mobile browser to m.bing.com or download Bing for mobile onto your device!
