Despite the huge emphasize on Twitter, instant messaging is not dead yet. And in the United States, a large portion of that instant message crowd still uses AOL’s AIM. AIM has since released version 2.0 of its beta release for Windows Mobile. If you are an user, now’s the time to catch up and give it a try!
Currently the devices supported are mainly Windows Mobile 5 and 6 Standard versions which in our case underlines devices like the Samsung Propel Pro, Blackjacks and Jack. The application looks rather crowded as its littered with features mirroring that of its desktop application. And here is just a few of the added feature on the second beta version:
- Lifestream! Keep yourself updated with what’s going on with your contacts
- Me tab Keep yourself noted of any activity that others’ have conducted on your account
These features seems more ‘Facebook‘ than instant messaging, but if you’re a user, power to you.
