Samsung have just announced is new 3G, touchscreen phone called Haptic AMOLED. With a 3.5 inch AMOLED touch screen which dwarf competition with bigger display and more vivid color, the device is being promoted as the ‘Viewing Phone’ in Korea. While it has a relatively lower CPU speed, its compensated by the larger Screen and embodied DMB.
The Haptic AMOLED is not a Windows Mobile phone, the features and the appearance are however very similar to the Samsung Omnia 2. We may determine user’s response to the upcoming Omnia 2 from the Haptic AMOLED. Below is a screenshot of the device as released in the Korean market.
