Screen rotation is part of the Omnia package as performed with the infamous accelerometer. However, with the high level of sensitivity, the automatic screen rotation may sometimes be a hassle. Here we discuss of a few ways that you can have better control over your screen rotation by setting it to rotate manually.
Instructions
To begin, we will be setting the screen rotation on our Omnia to manual using the following process Start > Settings > System > Motion Sensor and choose Manual. And now here are some ways you can set up your screen rotation:
- Map the rotation to one of the hardware keys: You can do so by assigning the screen rotation to any of the hardware keys on your Omnia. Simply go to Start > Settings > Personal > Buttons and choose <Rotate Left> or <Rotate Right> as the assigned program.
- Use PocketToolman’s screen rotation option: Download PocketToolman and as it shows up on the bottom of the Today screen, right click on it and choose Settings > Options. Under the Options, select Start with Screen Rotation icon in tray. Now you can control the screen rotation by clicking on it.
- Add Rotate Screen as one of the Widgets or Favorites (For Spb Mobile Shell 3 users): Simple click on the icon to rotate screen.

These 3 ways should give you sufficient control on the rotation of your screen rotations.
