What’s better than a fresh coat of paint? Wallpaper. What’s better than wallpaper? Free wallpaper. What’s wallpaper? Wallpaper is simply a picture that’s formatted to fit the screen of your phone or computer. With 100s to choose from and new wallpapers added regularly, you can give your phone a new wallpaper almost every day.

Wallpaper can be a proud accessory for users who have really cool looking ones on display. We are here to provide some resource and guides to install these wallpapers.

Where to Find?

You can get free wallpaper for your mobile device both here at Microsoft Wallpaper or InterfaceLIFT, a popular online wallpaper database.

How to Install?

  1. After downloading your favorite wallpaper, feel free to move them into any storage folder (Device, Storage or Storage Card) using ActiveSync, Bluetooth, USB, Email, MMS, or any other mean you can think of.
Note: The default saving folder for mobile downloads is in My Document under My Device.
  2. Find the image you’d want to set as your wallpaper then Press and Hold for 2~3 seconds to bring a pop-up menu (for Smartphone users simply click “Menu”)
  3. Choose “Set as Today Background”
  4. Then, amazingly, the image you have choosen will be the new wallpaper on the Today screen.

@ATIX, thank you for pointing it out. You’re right, there are tiling effects when the wallpaper is displayed in portrait form. We will look to scout out more wallpapers for Omnia and other devices with the correct resolution. Thanks again. (:

@Pavan, are you asking if you want to make a collage of your photos to appear as your wallpaper?
