The Convenience of Synced Browser Favorites

If you have ever browsed the website, you would have certainly store up a collection of bookmarks (or favorite in Internet Explorer). They are a great way to store everything you are interested in or would like to refer to in the future. With the duplicity of devices, including your Windows Mobile (WM) device, it has become essential that these bookmarks are properly synced up.

Richard Williams over at Windows Mobile’s Total Access had experienced the benefits in syncronizing bookmark with the browser on his WM device. This is a handy guide that will keep you connected with the same items in different locations. And here are the steps:

Steps to Setup

  1. Connect your device to activative Activesync Setup Wizard
    You may need to “Delete Mobile Device” and re-sync to reach the same screen
  2. When you are at the “Synchronization Option”, be sure to select “Favorites” (as shown below)
  3. Now on your Internet Explorer, simply get to the webpage that you’d like to bookmark and go to Favorites > Add to Favorites
  4. Add the Favorite to “Mobile Favorite” if you would like to have the bookmark included in future synchronization
  5. Perform ActiveSync on your device

Find it on your mobile IE

  1. Find your mobile Internet Explorer by going to Start > Programs
  2. Select “Favorites” and then expand it by click “More Favorites
  3. You should find the bookmark you have added to your Favorites!

Now, simply sync up each time you add a bookmark to your Mobile Favorites folder.
