Wallpaper Orientation

The default filenames for wallpaper: stwater

It may be laying horizontally, or standing up vertically, you always have the freedom to set your own wallpaper for the Samsung Omnia. However, if you have ever tried to use a background for either of the two states, you will see a tiling effect when the screen is turned. We’ve got a quick tip for you to handle the issue.

To begin, set any image to be your wallpaper. Now for any image that you have set as a wallpaper, they will be stored in My Device/Windows and will be named as:

  • stwater_240_400 for portrait, and
  • stwater_400_200 for landscape

In order to set a different image as the background for portrait or landscape view, you will need to:

  • Locate the image that you want to use
  • Rename it to stwater_240_400 or stwater_400_240 depending on your preferred orientation
  • Move (and replace) the file into My Device\Windows\

That’s it. Rename and replace. If you are not able to see the filenames, just go to Menu and select Show All Files in My Device\Windows\.
