Alright, it has been half-a-day of Samsung Propel Pro craze, we do still love our PocketPCs and its similarity with the actual PCs. And that’s why we are going to share our thoughts on the Quick Menu, a Start Menu developed by a Chinese developer aimed to improve our Menu experience.
With QuickMenu you can control just about anything menu-related, it’s amazing what you can do with the tool.
Installation
To start the application, you will need to extract the file onto your device (storage is fine). From there, simply click on QuickMenu.exe to start the application.
You will see the Start Menu expand once you have start the program. To open the regular Start Menu, simply click on the word ‘Start’ and to open Quick Menu, click on the Windows logo (as shown below).

This is how the Start Menus will look like if you can click on them both.
Design
With my recent understandings of font design and typography, I really enjoy the font face and size that Quick Menu utilizes. It brings a rather simple and concise feeling for the menu.
Within the Menu, depending on the number of application that you have, clicking on “more” will take you way out! To get back, just click anywhere on the Start (word or logo).
Within the QuickMenu is the long-list of option that is available to you. The design however is the default Windows style formed through tabs, checkboxes and default buttons.

Usability
With the continuous refinement since August of 2007, the application truly manages your applications inside a Menu with stability. You can just about get to any application with the QuickMenu. And you are also free to change the settings depending on your preference and need.
If you’d only wanted a menu that works like one on the PC this will do so much more for you.
Features
- Shows battery meter
- Segmented menu base on needs and usage
- Ability to access system and connection settings such as Screen rotation, SIP, Bluetooth and Wireless
- Ability to remove or change background image of Quick Menu
- Prefer ‘ok’ to close program over ‘x’? QuickMenu says “sure”!
For a complete list of change logs and features, click here.
Pros
- Great flexibility in options and display
- Good range of settings available for managing the menu
Cons
- The application does lack clarity in how it was suppose to be operated. A simple Read Me manual will be very helpful to the end users.
Should I get it?
This is already one of my favorite application with its design and smooth factor in addition to the high level of flexibility without sacrificing much memory. Get it while its free, there is an English version available so there won’t be any conflict in terms of language

Can someone help on getting this cab to write in English or where I can download the English version. Or any setup will do.
Didn’t work on my epix. Most of the characters were unrecognizable. Fortunately you had a screen capture to show me where to exit the program. I was starting to get a little worried.
Please how do I download the English version?
@OGBOYE, to pull up the QuickMenu option click on the Windows button on the task bar to bring up the QuickMenu then go to the 3 segment (after the 2nd separator) and click on QuickMenu and then Option (2nd from the bottom). Let me know how it worked for you.
It is great but some icon in Chinese. I downloaded the cab installer both from CareAce and the website just to get it right. No way.I could not also get to Quick menu option
