Switching between Mouse and D-Pad on Samsung Epix

Not that it was difficult before, but we’d always enjoy the benefits of convenience. If you are a regular user of the optical mouse and an occasional user of the D-Pad, you must have had some experience with switching them around. It can be a hassle.

The developer at pocketnow.com has developed an application that assigns a button on your Samsung Epix to a switching mode, between the optical mouse and the D-pad. Simple enough. And if you’d prefer a walk-around without any installation, there is always the method of going back to Home Screen and pressing Fn+N (applicable only on home screen).

Here are the procedures provided to perform the switch with an assigned button:

  1. Download the zip file from pocketnow.com
  2. Extract the .exe file and place it into the following path: WindowsStart MenuPrograms
  3. On your Samsung Epix, go to Settings > Buttons
  4. Select a button to assign the role of EpixMouseModeChange

Simple as 1,2,3 and 4! Give it a try and see how it works for you on the Samsung Epix!
