Are you getting bored of the standard loading cursor that came with your Windows Mobile device? If you have had your phone for a year, that is one year of looking at that same cursor. How refreshing would it be if you can easily switch those loading cursor to something funny or cool? The MWC3 (Marshall WaitCursor 3) was developed for that specific reason.
Installation
It is adviced that you install the application on your device to ensure better running process. Following installation, it might be a little confused about where to start.
Basically, you will see a new folder named MWC3. Open it to find the options, such as configuration, loading and unloading the application. When you get into the configurations, slide to find the cursors available to you.
If you find your choice limited, you can also download the two package that Marshall had provided for more options. For these package, simply install them (cab files) like you would to an application and they will be good to go.
Design
The main user-interface for the application will be its configuration page. It was confusing at first of how it works in terms of getting to the setting where I get to change the loading cursors.
For some reason I was stuck on the first screen, and only after watching the video provided by the developer did I realize that I can get to the rest of the pages by sliding from left to right. Then I realize there are 3 dots at the bottom of the first page of the settings (indicating the page that you are on).
Phew, okay, as much as it was confusing, it was probably me that wasn’t observant enough. Then again, Â I think intuitive design is fairly important.
The design of the configuration is otherwise slick and enticing. Rather than using the Windows Mobile’s default design, the developer spend the time to develop a customized interface for the application, with gradient, shadows and all.
And to scroll through the various designs, just slide the cursors in an upward/downward gesture motion.
Usability
Apart from the confusion about how to get to the cursor change page, the application works quite well. One thing that users have to note is that in order to get more loading cursor, you have to install a separate cab file. But the installation is a simple process to go through.
To unload (disable MWC3’s cursor), simply click on ‘MWC Unload’ in its Program folder.

Cons
Personally, I had some trouble getting to the rest of the settings’ pages when I first encounter the application. It might be beneficial for the users if a page number or a button to get to the next page is included. Something intuitive where users can understand right away.
Should I get it?
I think for anyone who is looking to freshen up their mobile device, this application can add some fun and joy while you wait and be frustrated during loading. And for the effort that the developer has put it in, and still offer it free (donations are welcome), I believe this is a must-have for your device.

this is a good program IF you have the space to hold it, 1 problem i have run into is that it can slow down or even freeze you pocket pc at start up. if you have alot of stuff running after start up
Dont work on WM 6.5!
