In need of backing up your contacts and messages? PIM Backup 2.8 from FdcSoft is capable of just doing that. And the best part? It’s simple (and free!)

To start, unzip the execution file into your device and just click on it to start. If you want it to be placed in the Start Menu, simply copy it and paste it in My Device\Windows\Start Menu and it should show up right away.

Using it is even simpler. Once started, you can choose which of the two actions you’d like to execute (Backup or Restore). You may also select the various item to be backed up (or restored).

Click ‘Next’ to get to the Backup Option screen. In here you can designate the location of the backup file. We recommend that you backup your data in your storage card for mobility purpose. Rename it to something you like and select the option most suited for your situation. And the ‘Next’ key will take you through the backup.

Click on ‘Exit’ once you are done. Now you should be able to locate the backup file that you have named, in the location you have designated.

All in a day’s work, or less.

On top of everything, you can even schedule backup on a consistent schedule so you don’t have to worry about those days that you forgot to back up manually.

Awesome program! Backed up HD, did a hard reset, and restored EVERYTHING just by clicking the drop down box and touching “restore”. The program automatically goes to where the restoration file is and sets everything up for you from call logs to contact, tasks, calendar, you name it, it does it. I couldn’t be more appreciative of the creator!
