It seems like it is a DRM problem. I purchased a ringtone and that works fine. I just need to find a way to add drm to the mp3s that I want to use.

@Justin Yea, it does seem like its DRM. :( But there's hope if you are buying music from iTune, they have recently made their library of music DRM free. I'm not entirely sure if those are in mp3 format though. But for 99c a piece, it might be an option you can try!

I purchased a ringtone from the phone and guess what... It shows up in the list. Yes, the ringtone format shows up as *.mp3-drm. How is this fair? I can click on an mp3 and go set-as-ringtone, but they don't show up in the list.

Must be DRM - I thought DRM was dead - Oh well

Well, I can set a mp3 which has 320 bit as a ringtone on my epix. I guess it might be DRM problem.

Thanks for replying so quickly. I actually have a samsung epix and this is why I was so interested. I just purchased a ringtone and saved it to the my ringtones folder in my documents and it showed up in the list. But any Mp3s I copy into there don't show up. Is there a certain format / bitrate that needs to be used?

The Epix I have is about 1 month old.

@Justin. Thanks for visiting. Just have 2 question for you - may I know which Samsung device you are using? And also just double-check the path where the mp3 are placed in (make sure they are placed under 'My Ringtones' in 'My Document').

Let us know how it goes.
