The latest Samsung Omnia offers an amazingly wide range of supported video formats such as DivX, Xvid, WMV, MP4, MPEG 4 and more. The Omnia is also the very first certified Windows Mobile device that supports DivX playback right out of the box without the need to install any programs or applications.

While the iPhone can certainly be regarded as a good personal multimedia player, it however lacks the variety of video formats and currently only supports MPEG (H.264). On top of that, the requirement of the iTunes application for any media upload and synchronization, including videos adds to its inconvenience.

When there are differences, similarities abound. In the case of Omnia and iPhone, both phones allow video playback straight from the device’s internal video player without the need to open up an additional application. This unique feature provides ease for the consumer when accessing multimedia files such as videos.

With the wide variety of video formats that is presently available, Omnia’s diversified options provide consumers with ease in multimedia management – making it a Smartphone that is not only enhancing user experiences but also fulfilling its true purpose of increasing productivity and efficiency.
