Set Up Your i907 Epix To Only Use WiFi
Did you buy the Epix with intentions of mainly using its WiFi capabilities for data usage? Then you probably want to disable the cellular data connection. This is the perfect tip for those of you without a data plan, or want to avoid using your carrier’s data on the Epix.Â
First, open the Start Menu on your Epix and select Settings near the bottom.
Â
Select Connections under the Connections tab.

Select the Advanced tab at the bottom and then open Select Networks.
Â

Â
The default setting for both of the drop down boxes should be My WAP Networks. Change both of these to My Work Network.

Now, you need to set any WiFi networks you use to connect to My Work Network. Assuming you have already set up a WiFi network, go to the Connections tab under Settings.
Scroll to the bottom and select WiFi. Now, select any WiFi networks you connect to. In the below screenshot, I would select “zoink.”
Â

Make sure Work is selected in the Connects to drop down box. Select Next until you get to through all the options.
Â

Your Epix should now be set up to only use your WiFi for internet. If you want to use Internet Explorer there is an additional setting you have to modify which you can find here

Can you add as many networks as you want to your “My Work Network”?
Great explanation! I was looking all over for this info. I was under the impression that VZW forced you to use Broadband ONLY. Thanks for the info and keep up the great work!
Yes, many phones these days are broadband only (such as the G1).
