Set the default custom ringtone directory to Storage Card – Tips
This tip changes the custom ringtone directory to one of your choosing, instead of using the default My Documents\My Sounds directory on your device. While your device already scans for ringtones in root directory of your Storage Card (and My Documents on your device), it can be tedious and an organizational nightmare to keep them all within the root of your microSD card. What if you want to take your ringtones with you when you switch to another phone, or transfer them easily onto a friend’s phone? It’s easiest to store them somewhere on a microSD card. You can specify another directory on your device or Storage Card where ringtones are stored with the following registry tweak.
Note: Your Samsung BlackJack has to be application unlocked beforehand. Also, you should always backup your registry before attempting to modify it since editing your registry can bring unwanted changes.  If you are using PHM Registry Editor go to Menu>Tools>Backup to make a backup.
Â
1. Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\ControlPanel\Sounds\CustomSounds\RingTones in a registry editor (such as PHM). (In PHM, press the left soft key button for values once in RingTones)
Â

2.Modify the key “Directory” to the value a location on your Storage Card such as “Storage Card\My Documents”

Voila! Now instead of storing your ringtones in “My Documents\My Sounds” you can store it in any directory on your microSD card and Windows Mobile will find it under Sounds/Ring Tone settings.
